从上句中我们可以看到，“全国哀悼日”的英语就是“the national day of mourning”。在今天，也会有默哀仪式，比如说：
Chinese President Hu Jintao paid a silent tribute here to victims of a massive mudslide in Zhouqu County.
上文中的“pay a silent tribute”就是“默哀”的意思。
今天，在天安门广场也进行了降半旗(fly a flag at half-mast)的仪式，对丧生于泥石流的遇难者表示深切哀悼。
